University of Wales, Bangor Student Accommodation
This was the final phase of student accommodation at Bangor University and being 8 storey had its own particular challenges. The inner leaf of the external walls and floor slab were constructed in pre-cast concrete units and craned onto site. The programming was very tight as all the bedrooms had a toilet pod which had been constructed in Italy and brought over just in time to be sequenced in with the construction programme.
